I Walk Alone

The winding paths of life

Bring me to realize

I walk alone

For all the days in my life

Some good, some bad

I walk alone

Through every crevice in the hill

And the strength of my will

I walk alone

Through love or tenderness

Love fills emptiness

I walk alone

Every need or feeling

I have begged, kneeling

Yet, I walk alone

Every disaster brings sadness

The vein of emptiness hardens

I walk alone

So I ask myself

Is there peace to thyself?

Yes, there is,

Nature is my peace!

Yet, I walk alone

  1. I love walking outside and getting in touch with nature, which, to me, is getting in touch with the universe, with God. It inspires me to write. But, yes, I am alone most of the time. I have come to realize that we alone are responsible for our own happiness. Thanks!

  2. Walking alone... having all the time of the world to notice how you are, who you are and what you always dreamt of becoming... this might be wonderful and scary at the same time!

Thank you for your inspirational words.

    1. Hi Habakuk!

Thank you for the appreciation for my poetry.

Nature never talks back to you, and accepts you for who you are, no false pretensions :)

You will always be welcome in nature!
